What Do You Rate AVG Anti-Virus 2013?

Kaspersky Antivirus 2013: Kaspersky Antivirus 2013 hits the #2 spot. This antivirus software simply works. While the cost is higher than most, you get what you pay for with Kaspersky Antivirus 2013
ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4: ESET is quickly becoming a favorite antivirus client among many experts in the virus removal field. This client has potential to take over the #1 or #2 spot
Just paid $150 to get my hard drive cleaned. Avg just did not get the job done, but come to find out I did not have the latest version. They did not keep me updated. When tried to install the new version 2011 had all kinds of trouble. Took to our local computer shop and they could not get it installed either. This morning I made the dredded call to support. Only thing worse was to realize there was NO telephone support!! All by email, unless you wanted to pay an additional $50 for their technical help. Spent 2 hours trying to work online with no result. Finally they gave me the number and code to call for support. It took about 10-15 minutes to get things figured out and installed. When my year is up, I am done with these people.
I take it your original copy of AVG was not the free version? Just want to confirm that. I love hear both posative an negative feedback about the antivirus clients. That is what this whole site if for.
To be fair I must admit that most antivirus vendors try to do all support first through e-mail.
Thanks for leaving the feedback Jerry. When it comes time to renew next year be sure to come back here and rate whatever new client you end up purchasing. Honest reviews by the end user make and break these antivirus companies.
