Spware Doctor software is a stand alone anti-spyware application.  If you already have a antivirus package that does not provide spyware protection, we highly recommend it.  This software is also included in the Google software Package of Tools.

Spyware Doctor with Antivirus

Spyware Doctor with Antivirus 2011 is our #1 pick for 2011.  This product just rocks.  It boasts a very clean and easy to use interface, while at the same time, it offers great options to those who love to dive in and tweak clients to run the way they want them to.  It offers live protection to block viruses from installing and updates regularly with out interference.  The amount of system resources this product takes will not bog down your computer.  This software also includes the Safe Browser add on that blocks known mallisious websites, to help you avoid a possible infection.

PC Tools Internet Security

Like most Internet Security packages, this software provides total protection.  It includes the normal anti-virus and anti-spyware protection and has the firewall and spam filter that most other clients have.  Like any Internet Security package, it will take up more system resources then a normal anti virus client would.  We recommend shutting off the Windows Firewall if you choose to go with this software.  If you do not need a spam filter, then honestly you should save a few bucks and simply use the Spyware Doctor with Antivirus 2011 version and keep the default Windows firewall.
